Product Manager – Customer Onboarding

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead our customer onboarding efforts for our consumer software product. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, a deep understanding of customer psychology and acquisition, and the creativity to design engaging, seamless onboarding experiences. This role is critical in ensuring that new users have a delightful, low-friction experience that drives engagement and long-term satisfaction with our product.

Responsibilities

  • Drive experimentation and strong execution to deliver measurable results in user onboarding and engagement.
  • Develop and implement low-friction, personalized onboarding experiences tailored to various acquisition channels, consumer needs, and stages of the purchasing journey.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and customer support to create and refine onboarding processes.
  • Utilize data and customer feedback to continuously improve the onboarding experience, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our users.
  • Lead initiatives to increase user activation, retention, and overall satisfaction through innovative onboarding strategies.
  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to user onboarding and engagement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to inform and enhance our onboarding strategies.

Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a high-growth technology company or startup, with a proven track record of building products that reach millions of consumers.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition strategies, consumer psychology and needs.
  • Experience in designing and implementing customer onboarding processes that are both effective and delightful.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and first principles thinking.
  • Ability to envision and execute creative solutions that enhance the user experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to derive insights from user data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience in the software or technology industry with consumer-focused products.
  • Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in driving user engagement and retention through innovative product strategies.
